Who takes part?
Sea to Ski is designed for the serious enduro rider. Backup drivers are required and each team must supply their own. The event can accommodate teams of 2 – 6 riders with hotels being the choice for accommodation each night.
Brand New route
Sea to Ski will feature the same routes for 2023 as the team from Red Cherry Events look to take Sea to Ski the next level. We utilise 4 great areas for our overnights. Kob inn, Clarkebury, Maclear and Rhodes. On the second night at Clarkebury, we build a luxury tented village for all riders.

About Sea to Ski
For 2023 we have moved this #EpicAdventure 2 months early, to allow riders to better prepare for the Mother of Hard Enduro, the Roof of Africa. This GPS navigation-based event is the perfect cornerstone to help riders prepare for the 2023 Roof of Africa.
Sea to Ski is a 3 day and 4-night Navigational enduro taking riders from the Tribal Lands of the Wild Coast into the high Mountains surrounding Tiffindell Ski Resort.
The event was founded back in 2008 by the team of Red Cherry Events. The teams that take part comprise of 2-4 riders and 1-2 crew members.
Sea to Ski is a TOUGH hard enduro linear event, designed for Bronze type roof riders and higher. If you are looking for something tamer, we have just the event for you – check out Sea to Sea, our less extreme sister event! Click here for more of Sea to Sea.

9 August | Registration
Kob Inn Hotel
Details
Riders and supporters will be placed into Kob Inn Hotel for the opening night of this #EpicAdventure.
Room numbers for the 4 nights will be given to each rider at registration, along with their race pack items valued at R1500pp.
10 august | Day 1
Clarkebury tented village
Details
Never worry about the rain again with our all canvas 3m x 3m Dome tents. Each team is allocated 2 x 4-man Dome tents. These tents are all new and can fit a person standing up.
Riders and crew will need to bring their own bedding and mattresses along.
Red Cherry Events sets up their famous tented village – with our vibey chill zone, hot showers and wholesome catering.
11 August | Day 2
Maclear
Details
For 2022 each team and crew will be placed into selected guest houses in and around the Maclear town.
Guesthouses will be of a 3-star standard and each rider will get their own beds. If you would like to share, please let us know when entering. Dinner will be served at the Maclear Country lodge.
12 august | Day 3
Rhodes
Details
With the closure of Tiffindell Ski resort, we have moved our finish for this #EpicAdventure to the town of Rhodes.
Located just below the ski village of Tiffindell. All riders and crew will be placed into Guesthouses in the area. Dinner and breakfast will be served from the Rhodes Hotel.
Prize giving and fines evening will take place on the 16th at the Rhodes Rubicon guest house.

Luggage and Fuel drops
This is the responsibility of the riders and backup drivers to handle this function. When entering you will be able to add your crew members to your tream.
- At least two refuel points each day where you will meet up with your backup drivers.
- All your fuel and luggage will be moved by these drivers.
- Drivers will carry lunch for their team and this will be collected at breakfast each morning.
- Backup drivers will receive a detailed road book to guide them on their journey each day.
