The 2015 event
There will be two batches of 60 teams. If the EPIC batch is full, EXTREME is now open. The route will be identical for both groups.
Sea to Ski EPIC: Thurs 1st Oct to Sun 4th Oct 2015 - OPEN
Sea to Ski EXTREME: Thurs 8th Oct to Sun 11th Oct 2015 - OPEN
We have reverted to the week apart as it allows us to focus on one event at a time and offer more individual attention to the riders.
We have a new start venue for the 2015 events and that is Ocean View Hotel at Coffee Bay. Coffee Bay is easy to access and is a tar road all the way to the coast and the Mtata River gorge will offer an exciting route to Clarkebury.
First batch 'Epic' is full. Enter Here for the Extreme Batch.
Ride 4 Change
This event saw us touch 2 communities.
- Clarkebury Mission where Nelson Mandela finished his Junior Certificate Schooling has already had Peter Jung and his team sorting out the water issues and installing new pumps and pipes.
- Maclear have received flood lights for their school rugby field.
This is all done through Red Cherry’s Section 21 NPO charity called Touch Africa
Red Cherry Adventures
core expertise lies within the creation of unique adventure events such as Enduro Africa which saw Prince William and Harry participate, the staging of the epic Roof of Africa Extreme Enduro, the tented villages created for Rallye Raid etc. are just some of the projects that the Red Cherry team undertake year in, year out.
The "Knighter" is on his way to South Africa to ride Red Cherry's Sea to Ski. He flies into Port Elizabeth at the end of September to participate in ICE (Inner City Enduro) and then heads up the following week to Coffee Bay for the start of the tough Sea to Ski.
Knight has been World Enduro Champion on numerous occasions and is an off road legend. He will be riding Sea to Ski on KTM 300 and the organisers will sell off a spot to ride with David for all 3 days to raise monies for Touch Africa charity.
